      Director

      Eytan Graubart

      Director

Eytan has been involved in Jewish camping since he was very young. Now, having most recently served as the Director at the Union for Reform Judaism’s (URJ) Camp Harlam Day Camp, as part of the URJ’s North American camp leadership team, and as the Director of Camp Hilbert in Richmond, VA, he is thrilled to take the helm at Camp BB. As fate would have it, Eytan’s selection as director is a sort of return home for him—his father, Rabbi Alexander Graubart, served as the Camp Rabbi during the summers of 1967 and 1968.

Eytan grew up in Chicago, IL, and spent his summers at Camp Young Judaea Midwest in Waupaca, WI. He graduated from the University of Maryland where he studied philosophy and spent a year studying in Israel. After college Eytan studied non-profit management at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a Master’s Degree in Camp Leadership from Touro University. Eytan is currently working on his doctorate in educational leadership at Creighton University.

Eytan is a graduate of JCC Association of North America’s Merrin Fellowship, the Jewish Federation of Greater Richmond’s Sisisky Global Engagement Fellowship, served on the Board of Directors of Rudlin Torah Academy, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Jewish National Fund (JNF) of Calgary as the Chairperson of JNF Future.

Eytan loves playing his guitar, hiking with his dog Scrappy, sushi, and the Chicago Cubs. He believes that Jewish learning is best done by the campfire, that camp friends are the best friends, and in always wearing comfortable shoes. His favorite part of camp is the first day – watching everyone come together, excited and ready to do something incredible.

      Billy Sky

Assistant Director of Business and Administration

Billy has held numerous positions at camp including having served as the Sr. Pool Specialist in 2017. While this will be Billy’s 13th summer at Camp BB, fourth as a staff member, and first as a member of the senior management team, Billy’s connection to camp started with his grandparents, the legendary directors of Camp BB, Bill and Rivvy Meloff. Billy is a former regional president of BBYO and he continues to volunteer his time helping to mentor new leaders, helping them find new and creative ways to connect with Judaism. Billy’s love of country music will make him a perfect fit working with Eytan and Emily in the camp office. Billy is from Edmonton, Alberta and is currently studying Business at the University of Victoria.
